Session Presentation:
General To Do List:1. Check you've got all the task completed.
2. Start to develop practical ideas based off of case studies.
3. Have a plan for the work to do over Christmas.
What are the important points?
- core theories/concepts/arguments (these can become rules by which you create your work, you can also challenge and break these rules)
- how do they relate to the question or theme?
Primary research - test you ideas?
- visits
- questionnaires (design own)
- focus Groups
- practical experiments and testing
Contextualise the problem within graphic design (methodology)
- theories/concepts/arguments
- disciplines/audiences
- why are you using this process/activity for your design work?
Explain:
What is the question?
Research what have you found out.
Theories-context-discipline-relationship/links.
How could this be tested?
Simple graphic design problem?
Audience?
Examples?1. Keep writing essay
2. Design Board 1 Research
- What is the focus of the project?
- Theories/concepts linked?
- Examples - case studies?
- Audiences?
3. Design Board 2 Rationale
- The reasoning for your project
- Why are you doing it?
- Graphic Design context - discipline.
- What you intend to test - theories and concepts identified - a design problem.
Initial Ideas for Practical:
- Campaign encouraging people to start employing sustainable habits into everyday life using a psychological basis.
- Presenting sustainable alternatives more in supermarkets, not creating another sustainable brand to add to the problem.
- Finding alternatives for people to do that support sustainable charities and causes.
These depend on further research and the focus I decide to go on within the essay.
