- The shift in language of what I'm talking about as well as visually is a positive Pete pointed out. Showing the transparency of a company by including photos of staff is a good thing to do.
- The idea is a good one, it fits with the essay, the key thing is the explanation of the project to make sure it is well informed by research.
- Often the design we see surrounding eco-friendly products generally is not very good, there are good examples (Patagonia). But often is naff a bit hippy and turns people off, and often goes into that negative reinforcement it's a really dark subject which turns people off.
- Interesting that I have a different aesthetic, and that's okay, it doesn't need to fit in with the eco design that's out there as that may be part of the problem.
- Do more research into eco design, started to find out stuff earlier on in project about what effects consumerism. Bring this back. - Is there a more narrow audience, would that benefit the fine tuning of the project, or am I trying to do something that's applicable to a wider range of people.
- Feel keeping the audience wider would be better already designed web and app to suit a wider age range (people with families might do food shop online but also use their phones for google maps).
- Reaching toward an audience that is more tech savvy. - Response was that the concept was really strong and related well to my essay, however the aesthetic could have more development. Seeing how things could be refined but retain the friendly, approachable vibe.
- Feel like the aesthetic could be pushed further, Zoe mentioned about the contrast between the black background and fun coloured scribbles being quite a strong difference. Perhaps this could be played around with more, to see if there is a way to strike a balance between the two? - Pete likes the brightness of the colour, reminds him of a blackboard, whether this is good or bad not sure. It doesn't have the hyperminimalistic style which could pigeon hole the audience.
- Zoe mentioned the lines going down the page help the function of how it works, encourages the audience to scroll down the page.
- I agree, I feel even though the scribbles themselves may be a little chaotic it doesn't compromise the functionality of the product. - There will be people who want to know how the product is environmentally sound and others that don't. The black background to use less energy is a selling point.
- Think this is interesting in terms of content as well, some people might want to educate themselves more on sustainability while using the app and others won't as it's intimidating.
- Perhaps having a 'more info' box that's optional to select in case people want to learn more about the choices they make. - Tracking progress should be there, would expect it to be there on app/web.
- Definitely going to continue this idea, develop further potentially have a share to Facebook option, encourage others etc. - What other applications could the project have?
- Could be good to propose these once the idea is finalised.
