Mainly I was concerned about which direction to go in regarding the practical. Feel as though my essay is on the right track just need fine tuning.
People's advice/comments:
- Don't think it s so much about the style but more about making it most effective.
- Should look different to the website you're on otherwise it starts to look a lot like a pop up ad that people are more likely to just click off of rather than engage with.
- Look into minimal design, as to not be too in your face or aggressive.
- Symbols could be developed to allow the audience to see other options, gain more information if they wish. Again not too in your face but allows for a deeper understanding for those who want it.
- Grammarly pop ups are of small symbols/icons to tell you when you're talking too informally etc, maybe something like this could be adopted to the project?
- Develop the software as an add on to Google Chrome? Something where people only have to sign up once to use it.
- Found this information really helpful, the idea of developing icons and providing more information is nice, would allow a more in depth understanding for people who are wanting to engage.
- Minimal, easy to understand design is definitely where to go with this one.
What to do next?
1. Begin developing a visual aesthetic, play with type, colour palette etc
2. Develop symbols for more information options
