Studio Brief 3 - Practical Briefing

AUDIENCE CONSIDERATIONS:

What similar out there? Where do I want to position myself within the current market?
  • Basic Demographic - age, gender, income, religion, nationality
  • Behaviour - shopping habits, hobbies, work/life balance, job
    - How do you expect your target audience to behave in relation to what you're making?
    - How does this change behaviours towards your product?
    - Where does an audience see your product, how will they interact with it?
  • Psychographic - attitudes, values, personality traits
    - Get to grips with the audience as an individual, as a personality type.
    - What are they life?
    - How do they present themselves?
    - Do they think brands are important or not?
  • Geographic, where they live/work/socialise
    - How do you make your product acceptable for a global audience?
Could create a few specific personas to make design decisions towards. E.g. Students with low income, loves to go out with mates, thinks brands are important. Business man, high income, works in london.

VISUAL RESEARCH:

How will I position my product/campaign.
Think about opposites and where tour example fit within that e.g. affordable, luxury, younger consumer, older consumer. Be aware of what the consumer thinks they're buying into, techniques used to make a brand look expensive, what are they?

How does this research inform your project?
- Think about how the audience will respond to the project.
- How will others brands compare to your own.
