COP 31.10.19

TRIANGULATION
What is it?
'The combination of methodologies in the study of the same phenomenon.'
Basically the way you link topics together, similar to the approach of Point Evidence Explain technique used in sixth form.
It is a critical writing term used to describe how supporting evidence from research sources, book, journals, etc is structured to form an argument or discussion.

A critical point of view can't be critical is you keep referring to one writer.

Triangulation Task

Take away task:
  1. Document your 3 connecting texts - use close reading to help you.
  2. Make a list of what patterns and/or connections you have discovered.
  3. Write 250 word blog post based on your reading and understanding of your 3 texts (and any other reading you might undertake) discuss different perspectives of each text and how it relates to your chosen theme.
